We resist change even when there is evidence...

that change might move us closer to the unity, harmony, lasting peace, security and stability that we

profess to desire and be working towards.

We should agree that there is evidence that conditions in this world are deteriorating.

We should also agree that by maximizing objectivity used in slowing, stopping and reversing conflict,

the likelihood that a non-violent, polite society will emerge would improve for this world.

Individuals, organizations, denominations and the Holy Scriptures have proclaimed the concept of

an Almighty G-d, Prince of Peace, the word of G-d and His P.O.P....so in reality, the concept is not new.

Some may challenge the merits of this concept by pointing to organizations/individuals

who have failed to practice what they preach:

- there has been sexual (and other forms of) abuse in "Christian" boarding schools

- there has been sexual, physical, and therefore other forms of abuse in some homes and at least some

hockey leagues involving some persons who have professed by word and/or association to know about/serve the Almighty of scriptures

- Jimmy Swaggart, Jimmy and Tammy Bakker, and others are considered as hypocrites by many

- the Bible also reveals - some men who have been called by the Almighty have failed to continue to

submit to Him/His revealed will and thereby to experience G-d's peace and to continue to be instrumental in

bringing peace/preventing the outpouring of G-d's wrath (c.p. King Saul, King Solomon, King Rehoboam, and many other

Hebrew kings: Jeroboam, Nadab, Baasha, Elah, Zimri, Omri, Ahab, Amon, etc.) Also, Hebrew scribes and Pharisees

who rejected Yeshua as the Messiah, 'as well as subsequent Hebrews who have and do reject Him to date,

and the unfortunate sufferings that many of these have experienced (as did the Israelites when they went after the

gods/idols of other nations-more wicked than they, which they were to have destroyed; Judges; and also Judas Iscariot!

However, as in a classroom, the failure of some students to follow instructions does not mean that the teacher,

nor the student are necessarily to blame (e.g. studen's home life situation, nourishment, coping mechanisms,

parents/guardians, social interaction, spiritual nurturing and such like). So too, the degree of failure of so many

who were specially chosen, and also of those who have been graciously graphted in to the faithful of Israel,

to honour and glorify G-d, reflects more on the pilgrim/peron professing to serve G-d, than it does about G-d.

Naturally actions may speak louder than words. This is especially so when critics, fault-finders, and those with an

ulterior motive like wanting to discredit the promotion (ie the promoter and/or the old/new concept) of a concept

when the concept rings with truth, brings conviction and may require change-even if it's for longterm good!

Change involves work and our fallen nature needs to be denied. Lk. 9:23
